Adopt a Dog

Providing a loving home to a rescue dog is one of the most rewarding experiences. Many of our dogs have faced neglect, abandonment, or illness, but through adoption, they get a second chance at a happy life. By choosing to adopt, you are not only giving a dog a home but also contributing to their healing and well-being.

We facilitate adoptions in Cyprus, the UK, Germany, and the Netherlands. Our goal is to ensure that each dog finds a home that suits their needs and lifestyle.

Adoption Process

Adopting a dog is a responsible and lifelong commitment. Our process is designed to ensure the best match between adopter and dog. The steps differ slightly depending on whether you live in Cyprus or abroad.

Adopting in Cyprus

  • Meeting at the Shelter – You will visit the shelter where the dog is located (Germasogeia or Mesageitonia, Limassol district), meet the volunteers, and get to know the dog in person. This helps ensure a good match.
  • Home Check – Volunteers will assess your home environment to confirm it meets the dog's needs.
  • Application Form – You will complete an adoption application, which will be sent via email.

Adopting from abroad (UK, Germany, Netherlands)

  • Getting to Know the Dog – Since you can't easily visit the shelter, you get to know the dog through photos and videos and a call with our volunteers, who know each dog's character and needs.
  • Application Form – You will complete an adoption application, which will be sent via email.
  • Home Check – A home check is arranged with the organization that assists with the adoption in your country.
  • Travel Preparation – Before travelling, the dog gets an EU pet passport, a microchip and a rabies vaccination. There is a waiting period after the rabies vaccination before the dog can travel. Exact requirements depend on the destination country, and we will guide you through them.
  • Transport – Transport to your country is arranged once the dog is ready to travel.
