Alfy

Alfie was found on the street and taken to a clinic, where he spent several weeks before our volunteer welcomed him into foster care. From day one it was clear that he had lived in a home before: he knows basic commands, walks beautifully on a leash (and even untangles himself if he gets wrapped up 😄), doesn’t pull, and pays close attention to his handler. He is calm, affectionate, and very people-oriented — the kind of dog who simply loves being close to his person.

Alfie is around 1.5 years old, neutered, and overall healthy. He does have leishmaniasis, but as we’ve mentioned before, this is not scary and does not affect quality of life when managed with an inexpensive daily medication.

On walks, Alfie is not afraid of cars, happily brings a ball and invites you to play. He may feel a little sad if left alone, but with a good routine and attention this can be worked through. As for toys: he may sometimes guard them from other dogs (never from people), but overall he gets along very well with other dogs and loves running and playing with his foster friends 🥰

Alfie is a kind, smart, and incredibly sweet boy. He’s perfect for a cozy family life and would do well both in a house or in an apartment.
