Teddy

Large (> 25kg) size

male

German Shepherd

~8 years old

Teddy arrived at the shelter in May 2025 after kind people found him in poor condition and asked for help. Veterinary examination and X-rays revealed an old leg fracture in three places, as well as leishmaniasis.

After consultations with specialists, the decision was made to amputate the injured leg to give Teddy a pain-free future. The surgery has already been done, and he recovered incredibly fast. Today Teddy runs, plays, and enjoys life without any problems on three legs, as if he has always been this way 🐾

His leishmaniasis is under control and does not affect his overall health. He simply takes one tablet a day and lives a normal, happy life.

Teddy is a senior boy now, and what he needs most is a quiet, safe place to spend his retirement years surrounded by care and love.

He is strong, brave and sensitive. Teddy bonds deeply with people he trusts, but he needs time to feel safe. He is looking for a calm, understanding home with a person who respects a dog’s boundaries. A home without children and without other animals is essential for him.

Once Teddy trusts you, he shows his sweet and funny side. He absolutely loves being scratched above his tail, and when you do, he adorably starts stepping with his back legs in the cutest way.

Teddy is waiting for a patient, loving person who will give him stability, respect, and the peaceful home he truly deserves.
